Dr. Rui Feng

Rui Feng is a successful entrepreneur, explorer, and mine builder with over 25 years of global mining industry experience. His passion for discovery has led him to explore and acquire mineral opportunities worldwide. He was integral in discovering Jinshan Gold’s CSH Gold Mine in China in 2002, which was acquired by China Gold International.

Dr. Feng founded Silvercorp in 2003 by acquiring early-stage properties in China. Through discovery and development, Silvercorp has become one of the most profitable Canadian mining companies, with multiple mines in China. As CEO of New Pacific Metals, Dr. Feng led the company to Bolivia in 2017 and acquired the Silver Sand project which has recently led to a significant discovery.

In addition to delivering value to employees and shareholders through discovery and development, Dr. Feng also believes a sustainable operation requires innovation and more effective management. He pioneered a digital information management tool for Silvercorp’s mines, which has contributed to improved organizational performance and operational profitability.

Dr. Feng obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Geology in China, his Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada in 1992, and received a Post-Doctorial fellowship from the National Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada in 1992. Dr. Feng supports many community and social causes through contributions made personally and through the actions of the companies he leads.

Andrew Williams

Andrew Williams has 15 years of experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining New Pacific, Andrew spent the last 11 years with an SEC-registered precious metals investment fund, most recently as portfolio manager.

Andrew began his career at Deloitte providing audit and financial advisory services to mining companies in Vancouver.

Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of British Colombia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.

Jalen Yuan

Jalen Yuan is a professional accountant with over sixteen years of diverse international experience in financial reporting, auditing, internal control, and accounting. Mr. Yuan is a member of Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (“CPA, CA – BC”). Aside from his duty for the company, Mr. Yuan has also been appointed as chief staff officer at Silvercorp Metals Inc. recently where he previously served as financial controller for over fourteen years.

Prior to joining the mining industry, Mr. Yuan had three years audit experience with Grant Thornton LLP where he focused on audits of financial information and internal controls for Canadian companies. Mr. Yuan has a Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Laurentian University, Canada and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Tongji University, China.

Alex Zhang

Alex Zhang is a professional geoscientist registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC). With more than 30 years of experience in mineral exploration, Mr. Zhang has brought his range of technical and managerial skills to work on major gold and silver-lead-zinc polymetallic projects in China, Canada, and Bolivia with Eldorado Gold, Afcan Mining, Sino Gold, Silvercorp and New Pacific Metals, supervising activities from exploration and development to production. His roles have included senior exploration geologist, senior resource geologist, exploration manager chief geologist, and vice president of exploration.

Mr. Zhang received his M.Eng. in mineral exploration from the China University of Mining and Technology and his M.Sc.in mineral exploration from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.

Dustin VanDoorselaere

Dustin VanDoorselaere is a Canadian Mining Engineer with over 25 years of experience in exploration projects, underground and open pit mining operations throughout the world. He has led several operations across Canada, Australia, West Africa and Latin America, having successfully advanced projects from exploration through to engineering and permitting, mine development and operations and eventually into closure. He has built and operated mines in several challenging jurisdictions which have demonstrated a deep understanding of local community and government relations, a strong commitment to safety, and is highly focused on tangible ESG results and operational excellence, delivering benefits for all stakeholders.

Mr. VanDoorselaere previously served as VP Operations at Calibre Mining Corp and COO at First Majestic Silver Corp. Mr. VanDoorselaere graduated with a Bachelor of Mining Engineering (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario.

Mr. Hall has over 40 years of experience in finance and corporate development, with a strong emphasis on the mining sector. He is a Partner at Valuestone Advisors Limited, sole advisor of Valuestone Global Resource Fund 1, a director of Bunker Hill Mining Corp. and MEC Advisors Limited.

He is also the sole manager of Can-China Global Resources Fund and a former consultant for Hunter Dickson Inc. Fluent in Mandarin and well-experienced in Chinese business culture, Mr. Hall has worked with an extensive group of multinationals, trade associations and government organizations with China operations, including British Petroleum, Ranger Petroleum, BC Council of Forest Industries, Government of Canada, Government of British Columbia.

Mr. Hall is a graduate of the University of British Columbia.

Ms. Tang has over 20 years of experience in accounting with focus on the mining industry. She has held a number of executive and board leadership positions within this period. Ms. Tang is the President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of HempNova LifeTech Corp. She sits on the Board of Directors of Minco Silver Corporation.

Previously, Ms. Tang served as the Director of Finance at Revery Architect until 2019 as well as the Chief Financial Officer at Silvercorp Metals Inc. and the Chief Financial Officer at New Pacific until 2015. Prior to that, Ms. Tang held positions with Ernst & Yong LLP, where she focused on public company audits of mining, pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies.

Ms. Tang holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Nankai University and the Chartered Accountancy and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant designations.

Martin Wafforn

Mr. Wafforn is a mining engineer who brings with him more than 35 years of experience in the mining industry. He has been at Pan American Silver since early 2004, and is currently Senior Vice President, Technical Services and Process Optimization where he is involved in the technical aspects of the feasibility, development and successful operation of that company ‘s mines in addition to leading the safety department.

Prior to joining Pan American Silver, Mr. Wafforn spent 15 years working with Barrick and its predecessor Homestake at different underground mines and was Manager of Mine Engineering for Barrick ‘s global operations.

He holds a B.Sc Mining Honours from Camborne School of Mines in England and is registered as a P.Eng in British Columbia.

Dr. Peter Megaw

Dr. Megaw has a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Arizona and more than 35 years of relevant experience focused on silver and gold exploration. He has been instrumental in a number of mineral discoveries including MAG Silver’s Juanicipio and Cinco de Mayo Properties, Excellon Resources’ Platosa Mine, and new ore bodies at existing mines.

He is the author of numerous scientific publications on ore deposits and is a frequent speaker at academic and international exploration conferences.

Dr. Megaw was also awarded the 2017 Thayer Lindsley Award for the 2003 discovery of the Juanicipio silver deposit in the Fresnillo District, Mexico.

Myles Gao

Myles Gao is a seasoned geologist and mining executive who has held senior leadership and board positions with numerous Canadian mining and exploration companies. He is currently the General Manager of Bisha Mining Share Company in East Africa, where he is responsible for the management and leadership of the Bisha Mine. He also sits on the Board of Canickel Mining Limited. Prior to joining Bisha Mining, Mr. Gao was the General Manager – Capital & Business Improvement at Barrick (Niugini) Limited, where he successfully oversaw substantial capital projects for a major gold mine in Papua New Guinea. Previously, Mr. Gao served as a director of Silvercorp Metals Inc. where he also held the position of President.

Mr. Gao holds a Master of Science from Laurentian University and China University of Geosciences, and is a registered Professional Geoscientist in British Columbia and Ontario, Canada.
